Executive Assistant - Administration
Iberia Medical Center (IMC) | New Iberia, LA | Exempt
Iberia Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and professional Executive Assistant to support our Administrative team. IMC is dedicated to advancing our vision of being the premier hospital of choice for patients, physicians, and employees while continuing over 60 years of service to our community.
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to the CEO, CNO, COO, CFO, and other senior leaders. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient executive operations, supporting organizational initiatives, and maintaining effective communication across departments.
Education/Training/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a comparable role required
  • Prior experience supporting executive leadership in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Typing proficiency of 60+ words per minute preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to compose professional correspondence and manage administrative workflows
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide executive-level administrative support to senior leadership, ensuring efficient daily operations
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare, review, and finalize reports, correspondence, and presentations for executive leadership
  • Coordinate Board of Commissioners and committee meetings, including preparation of materials and recording of official minutes
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential records, including contracts and legal documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between administration, hospital staff, physicians, Board members, and external stakeholders
  • Support organizational initiatives and special projects as assigned by executive leadership
  • Facilitate communication and assist in resolving inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare and distribute Board packets and ensure timely delivery to Board members
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and staff interactions
