Job description

North American Medical Associates (NAMA) is a growing Multi-Specialty Medical Practice with a team of doctors and professionals devoted to patient care: diagnosing, managing, and treating chronic pain.

Job Responsibilities:

· Escort patients to and from the exam/procedure rooms

· Collect urine specimens at each visit, and process according to visit guidelines.

· Record patient information such as vital signs, height and weight and changes in medical history at each appointment.

· Medication Reconciliation in EMR

· Communicate to providers using the EMR to change the status of the room patients are assigned and do verbal handoff to providers on patient status prior to the visit.

· Assist providers with minor procedures.

· Collecting and updating patient HX and medical records.

· Clean, stock and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments.

· Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the office.

· Assist the office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed

· Administer medications under the supervision and direction of the provider.

· Prepares equipment for sterilization.

· Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.

· Always practice good customer service in all situations.

· Occasional travel between offices is required for cross coverage of our Practice locations.
