POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Manager develops and executes organic social media strategies that strengthen brand visibility, audience engagement, community connection, content performance, and measurable marketing outcomes for SASSO and its clients.
This role helps plan, create, publish, optimize, and report on social media content across key platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging social channels. The Social Media Manager combines strategic thinking, strong writing, creative judgment, platform fluency, content planning, data analysis, hands-on execution, and responsible use of AI-enabled workflows to support high-performing, brand-aligned social media programs.
This role uses AI tools where appropriate to support research, ideation, content generation, content repurposing, versioning, reporting, and workflow efficiency based on the needs, voice, standards, and approval requirements of each brand or client. AI-assisted work must be reviewed with strong human judgment to ensure originality, accuracy, relevance, confidentiality, and brand alignment.
The Social Media Manager works closely with Account Management, Creative, Communications, Digital, Media, Strategy, and production team members to ensure social media work is timely, integrated, measurable, and aligned with client goals.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional social media, digital content, or integrated marketing experience.
  • Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and managing social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience creating social media content calendars, reporting on performance, and making recommendations based on data and platform insights.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, ambassadors, affiliates, or user-generated content programs preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools to support content planning, content generation, creative development, reporting, or workflow improvement preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong writing, editing, messaging, and visual storytelling ability across social media formats and platforms.
  • Proficiency with social media publishing, scheduling, analytics, and listening tools such as Sprout Social, Later, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Business Center, YouTube Studio, and other platform management tools.
  • Familiarity with content planning, reporting, and creative tools such as Google Analytics, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of short-form video trends, social search, hashtag strategy, platform-specific content formats, and paid social creative considerations.
  • Ability to evaluate social media performance, interpret data, identify insights, and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Responsible use of AI tools for research, ideation, content generation, drafting, versioning, repurposing, workflow improvement, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to apply brand voice, client context, confidentiality standards, and human review practices to AI-assisted content.

  • Develop and execute organic social media strategies aligned with client goals, audience insights, brand positioning, campaign priorities, and platform best practices.
  • Build and maintain social media content calendars that support campaign themes, content priorities, engagement opportunities, and ongoing brand storytelling.
  • Plan, draft, edit, schedule, and publish social media content across relevant platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice, creative direction, and client objectives.
  • Develop platform-specific content recommendations for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging social channels.
  • Apply social search, hashtag strategy, platform trends, content formatting best practices, and audience behavior insights to improve visibility, engagement, and discoverability.
  • Monitor platform updates, social trends, audience conversations, competitor activity, and cultural moments to identify relevant opportunities and risks.

Content Production, Creative Collaboration & Community Engagement
  • Support content shoots through concept input, shot list development, content planning, on-site coordination, and post-shoot content organization.
  • Support the production, editing, versioning, and optimization of short-form multimedia content for social platforms.
  • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, content producers, photographers, videographers, and account leads to ensure social content is accurate, timely, and brand-aligned.
  • Monitor community engagement across platforms and support timely, appropriate responses in alignment with client voice, community guidelines, and escalation protocols.
  • Represent SASSO or client brands at live events, activations, content shoots, and community engagement opportunities as needed.

Influencer, Ambassador & Campaign Support
  • Support influencer and creator marketing by identifying potential partners, reviewing audience fit, developing briefs, coordinating content needs, and analyzing campaign impact.
  • Manage brand ambassador and affiliate program activity as assigned, including onboarding support, communication, content coordination, performance tracking, and ROI reporting.
  • Help coordinate user-generated content opportunities, creator deliverables, content approvals, usage considerations, and campaign timelines.
  • Collaborate with Communications, PR, Account, and Creative teams to connect social media activity with influencer campaigns, creator partnerships, events, earned media, and broader communications strategies.
  • Monitor influencer, ambassador, affiliate, and creator content performance to identify insights, opportunities, and recommendations for future campaigns.

Measurement, AI & Workflow Optimization
  • Define, track, and report on social media KPIs by client, platform, campaign, or content initiative.
  • Analyze social media performance data and translate insights into clear recommendations for content optimization, audience engagement, and campaign improvement.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly social media reports that synthesize performance trends, key takeaways, and recommended next steps for clients and internal teams.
  • Use social media scheduling, analytics, listening, reporting, and AI-enabled tools to improve planning, execution, visibility, performance measurement, and workflow efficiency.
  • Apply AI tools where appropriate to support social media research, ideation, caption drafting, content generation, content repurposing, A/B concepting, versioning, reporting summaries, and workflow automation.
  • Develop and refine prompt inputs, brand voice guidance, content review practices, and quality-control standards that help AI-assisted work remain accurate, original, relevant, and aligned with each client's brand.
  • Recommend social media processes, workflows, templates, reporting frameworks, and quality-control practices that strengthen consistency, efficiency, and client service.

Client Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
  • Serve as a social media strategy resource on assigned client accounts, helping connect client objectives to clear social media plans and actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborate with Creative, Communications, PR, Media, Digital, Account and Strategy teams to ensure social media work supports campaign goals and broader marketing outcomes.

  • Help refine SASSO's social media service offering as client needs, agency capabilities, platform expectations, audience behaviors, and AI-enabled marketing practices evolve.
