Job description

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

Location: Remote — Anywhere in the USA

Company: Seeking.com

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience and portfolio strength)

About Seeking

Seeking.com is the world’s largest premium dating platform. Our business is as much data science and AI as it is storytelling, creative execution, and the science of human connection.  We are scaling our marketing organization rapidly across Digital, Lifecycle, and Growth — spanning Advertising, Media Buying, Creative, Content Production, Copywriting, Videography & Editing, Multimedia Graphics, Social Media, and SEO.

The Role

We need a Social Media Specialist who owns the entire content pipeline — strategy, capture, edit, publish, and measure — and can either execute solo for a small production or lead a small team for a larger one.

This is a hands-on role. You will help plan the calendar, write the captions, run shoots, cut the video, post it, respond to the comments, read the numbers, and come back with a better plan the next day.

You don’t need a huge team around you to execute. You’re proactive, collaborative, creative, and excited to both create content yourself and help guide a growing social team to make each campaign stronger than the last.

Why This Hire Matters

Social is one of the highest-leverage surfaces. We are looking for an operator who is great at every step of the pipeline and can produce at the volume and velocity modern social demands.

If you’re someone who loves turning ideas into content and thrives in a fast-moving creative environment, this role could be a great fit. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, create confidently, and help bring campaigns to life across platforms — from Reels and TikToks to carousels, event content, and influencer moments.

What You’ll Own

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Coordinate, create, publish, and optimize social content across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and emerging platforms
  • Develop and manage detailed content calendars for multiple platforms, ensuring consistent and timely posting
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions and copy tailored to each platform’s audience and tone
  • Repurpose and adapt content to maximize reach and performance across channels
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, visual standards, and campaign objectives
  • Stay ahead of trends in social formats, sounds, memes, and storytelling styles
  • Experiment with new formats, transitions, hooks, and creative approaches to improve engagement and performance
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, creators, and editors to execute social campaigns and maintain publishing cadence

Community Management & Engagement

  • Schedule and publish content directly across platforms using native tools or scheduling software
  • Respond professionally and promptly to comments, messages, mentions, and community interactions
  • Engage with followers to build authentic community and brand loyalty
  • Monitor brand reputation and sentiment across social channels
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve issues or inquiries surfaced through social media
  • Participate in relevant online conversations and strategically engage with creators, influencers, and partner brands

Influencer Management

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard influencers and brand ambassadors across relevant social platforms
  • Negotiate influencer deliverables, timelines, usage rights, and campaign expectations
  • Track influencer contracts, content deadlines, approvals, and campaign performance metrics
  • Maintain organized records of influencer partnerships, payments, deliverables, and campaign results
  • Build and maintain strong influencer relationships to support long-term collaboration and brand advocacy

Social Productions, Activations & Events

  • Ideate, help lead and coordinate social media productions including campaign content sessions, lifestyle productions, and brand activations
  • Support the planning and execution of influencer events, experiential activations, pop-ups, and branded experiences
  • Manage on-site social coverage during events including real-time posting, behind-the-scenes content capture, creator coordination, and live social storytelling
  • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, creators, influencers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless production execution
  • Develop production schedules, run-of-show documents, shot lists, and social capture plans for campaigns and live events
  • Identify opportunities to maximize social engagement, creator content, and viral moments during activations and productions
  • Coordinate influencer attendance, content deliverables, approvals, and event logistics as needed
  • Ensure all event and activation content aligns with brand standards, visual identity, and campaign objectives

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Track and analyze key social metrics including engagement, reach, audience growth, traffic, and conversions
  • Create recurring performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Use analytics to refine posting schedules, creative direction, content mix, and platform strategy
  • Conduct A/B testing to identify top-performing content types and campaign approaches
  • Benchmark brand performance against competitors and industry leaders to identify growth opportunities

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and brand teams to maintain cohesive messaging and campaign execution
  • Partner with designers, videographers, editors, copywriters, and creators to produce best-in-class social content
  • Contribute ideas for influencer campaigns, partnerships, activations, and brand moments across departments
About Social

This section matters as much as your experience. We’re hiring for a mindset.

  • You understand what Seeking stands for & believe in the brand.
  • You read & understand culture in real time.
  • You measure and test what you make.
  • You use AI in your everyday workflow.
  • You think in hooks.

Qualifications

Required
  • 2–4 years of experience managing social media channels, influencer partnerships, branded campaigns, or digital marketing initiatives
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and emerging social platforms including posting tools, analytics, trends, and best practices
  • Experience coordinating social media shoots, influencer campaigns, branded productions, or live activations
  • Ability to manage fast-paced live event coverage and real-time social execution across multiple platforms
  • Proficient in Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Premiere)
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills with a strong sense of tone and visual rhythm
  • Experience managing influencer outreach, contracts, approvals, and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple brands, campaigns, and production timelines simultaneously
  • Strong production coordination and collaboration skills across creators, vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Up-to-date knowledge of platform algorithms, social trends, creator culture, and digital best practices
  • Must be able to travel for team meetings, shoots, company events, and project needs.
  • Comfortable with occasional required evening or weekend support during launches, events, or major campaigns
Preferred
  • Experience managing social media for lifestyle, entertainment, luxury, or consumer brands
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms, creator partnerships, and experiential campaigns
  • Basic understanding of paid social campaigns, boosting strategies, and performance metrics
  • Experience using AI image generation and creative tools such as Midjourney, Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to support content development
  • Interest in luxury, dating, fashion, lifestyle, or creator-driven brand aesthetics
  • Experience supporting live events, influencer activations, or experiential marketing campaigns
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, set above market for the role.
  • Real ownership of the channel. You are not feeding a calendar someone else built. You build the calendar, the brand voice on social, the production approach, and the metrics that measure all of it.
  • Direct access to leadership. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and collaborate across creative, growth, brand, and product.
  • A path to grow. Strong performance in this role is the on-ramp to leading a larger social and content team. Coast and you stall; build and you grow.
