Social Media Intern

Location: Arkansas (Student Preferred)

Organization: Velveteen Rabbit Project

The Velveteen Rabbit Project is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to help expand our online presence and increase community awareness of our mission to support individuals experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations.

The ideal candidate is a current Arkansas college student with an interest in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, journalism, public relations, or a related field. This internship provides hands-on experience creating content, engaging with audiences, and promoting community initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule social media content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
  • Assist with content creation including graphics, photos, videos, and written posts.
  • Promote community events, programs, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages as directed.
  • Research social media trends and recommend strategies to increase community outreach.
  • Help develop storytelling content that highlights the impact of the organization's work.

Qualifications:
