This role is ideal for a results-driven professional, preferably with government contracting experience, who combines a passion for creating compelling content with the analytical skill to manage, optimize, and scale media campaigns and content across key platforms. This role will use data to translate performance into actionable insights.

You'll work cross-functionally with Marketing & Communications (Marcom), Business Groups, Human Resources, and Employee Communications to elevate Amentum's voice and thought leadership in our key markets, strengthen engagement, and position us as a global leader in advanced engineering and technology solutions. • Design and produce engaging messaging and content across formats to clearly convey Amentum's story and point of view, including posts, carousels, videos, reels, and emerging media types. Given our engineering focus, this will require the ability to support the distilling of technical information and data into clear, engaging messages that effectively communicate Amentum's value to a diverse range of social media followers.
  • Execute the social media/paid media components of integrated marketing campaigns and press releases, ensuring a cohesive and impactful message across all channels.
  • Support Marcom in identifying and leveraging key industry themes, aligning to our strategic messages, to solidify our position as a global leader in advanced engineering, nuclear, space, and critical digital infrastructure.
  • Manage paid social campaigns end-to-end, driving awareness, engagement, and lead generation across platforms like LinkedIn, Meta, and Google Display. This includes managing budgets, optimizing for key performance indicators such as Cost-Per-Lead (CPL) and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), as well as A/B testing creative and targeting.
  • Use AI-powered tools to scale content creation, personalize messaging, and stay ahead of platform trends.
  • Cultivate and amplify the social presence of our executive team, connecting them with other thought leaders and relevant influencers and groups, leveraging their expertise to reinforce Amentum's market position.
  • Support corporate communications/PR social-focused initiatives focused on amplifying our messaging with key media, influencers and thought leaders.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, preparing reports and actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams- Marketing, Business Units, HR, and People Communications -to ensure social media content aligns with company goals and effectively showcases Amentum's culture and brand story.
  • Manage the social content calendar and ensure timely execution of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Stay on top of platform innovations, new paid media opportunities, audience targeting, and social trends, proactively testing new approaches to drive growth and engagement.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert on social media and paid advertising, presenting performance reports and strategic recommendations to executive and marketing leadership. Support integrated marketing initiatives including events and speaking engagements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong design skills and experience creating social-first content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma.
  • A data-driven mindset with expertise in reporting, analytics, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools for content creation and performance optimization.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a natural ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences, with the ability to accurately interpret and simplify complex engineering, technical, and government contracting language for general audiences.
  • Collaborative, curious, and willing to learn, with a proactive approach to testing new strategies and tools.
  • Proficiency with video editing tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and how they connect to social content strategy.
  • Familiarity with social listening and audience engagement platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business or related field. Two years of experience can be substituted for each year of a degree.
  • 12+ years of experience managing social media programs, ideally within government contracting and technology at publicly traded corporations.
  • Experience leading social strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
