WHAT YOU'LL DO
Ascend Learning's medical education category (primary brands of MedHub and BoardVitals) is currently searching for a B2B Product Marketing Manager who is a stellar problem-solver, a clear communicator, and operates with an ownership attitude. The Product Marketing Manager will develop a deep understanding of our market, customer needs and solutions to lead strategies that generate demand, maximize revenue, and build trust. This role will work cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and sales partners to drive value, positioning, and results.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
This position will work remote in the United States, with ability to travel up to 10%.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Product Storytelling & Positioning: Serve as the marketing expert for solution storytelling, focusing on crafting compelling customer-centric value propositions, differentiators, and use cases that resonate with medical education audience segments. Ensure consistent, clear, and cohesive messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Effective Go to Market Plans: Develop and execute go-to-market plans that effectively introduce new products and enhancements in collaboration with product management and sales teams. Identify KPIs, synthesize reports, and analyze effectiveness for product launches.
  • Campaign Planning: Develop campaign plans that drive demand, adoption, and revenue working in partnership with growth marketing and brand communication partners. Identify KPIs, synthesize reports, and analyze effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Understanding and Communication of Market Needs: Maintain a thorough understanding of the market, competitors, and customers in collaboration with product and marketing insights. Synthesize and share information to key stakeholders. Understand and own personas and guide the creation of social proof, webinars, and thought leadership content that resonates and builds trust.
  • Commercial Partnership: Partner with sales enablement and sales to develop content, collateral, and resources that educate and empower sales partners to have more informed conversations and build trust with customers to support pipeline growth.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a B2B category.
  • Knowledge of product marketing principles and best practices, including understanding of go-to-market strategies, messaging and segmentation.
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or education technology will be considered a plus.
  • Experience creating and implementing marketing plans and strategies that drive demand and build trust, with a strong ability to articulate a unique value proposition.
  • Experience managing campaigns on time and on budget.
  • Excellent people and influencing skills to interact with marketing colleagues, cross-functional teams and external partners. Passionate about understanding customer needs and behaviors and translating them into actionable insights.
  • Superior project management and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing attention to detail and ability to prioritize and adapt to changing market and organizational dynamics when needed.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging across sales, marketing and product management teams.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills. Understands the difference between features/functionality and value.
  • Basic understanding of marketing automation, lead generation, and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
