Job Title: LPN - Med Pass - IV

Department: UVMC One Central 

Shift: Varies/ PRN 

Facility: Upper Valley Medical Center

*MUST HAVE PREVIOUS HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE AS AN LPN

General Summary/Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.  The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care.  The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Diploma Program Diploma Program                                          

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Current healthcare provider BLS certification required prior to completion of orientation 

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
