Purpose
We are seeking a motivated Senior Mechatronics Engineer with comprehensive experience in robotics to join our robotics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, developing, integration and testing mechatronic systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components. This role offers hands-on experience in robotics applications and automation projects.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Lead in the design and development of mechatronic systems, including robotic assemblies and automation equipment.
  • Support integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems for robotics applications.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and validation of prototypes and production systems.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure successful deployment of automative solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, design requirement specifications, CAD models, and test reports.
  • Evaluate new technologies, automation methods, sensors, and robotics platforms to improve system performance and reduce cost.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for system performance and reliability.
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of professional experience in mechatronics, robotics, or electromechanical system design.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, actuators, sensors, and control systems.
  • Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Experience with embedded systems, PLCs, sensors, and industrial automation hardware.
  • Solid understanding of programming languages (Python, C++, or MATLAB) for robotics applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through production.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AGVs, AMRs, or automated material-handling systems.
  • Knowledge of machine vision, AI-based inspection, or advanced sensing technologies.
  • Familiar with simulation tools (Gazebo, Nvidia Issac Sim, Matlab/Simulink, etc).
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and industrial robotics.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing hardware.

Additional Information
For candidates based in Denver, CO, the salary range is $135,252 - $198,900 commensurate with experience.
