Ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with Staco Systems established policies and objectives. Directs the development of new products and improvement of existing products from concept through market availability. Receives Direction From: Vice President of Engineering Provides Direction to: Mechanical Engineers and CAD Designers. Examples of Essential Functions: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensures best practice engineering methods and provides guidance for engineering initiatives.Directs the use of technologies, components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output.Perform risk assessments and directs the organization on mitigation strategiesAssures effective implementation of Engineering, Product Development and Field Readiness processes.Interface with Engineering, Sales, Quality Assurance and Production departments to gain insight into trends and opportunities across the company and industry Assign projects for product development and improvementAct as technical consultant to customers, attesting to the reliability of the productAnalyze designs to improve product quality and provide necessary revisions to designs to meet customer satisfaction, while maintaining competitiveness in the industryResearch concerns on company designs and manufacturing processes and provide recommendations and solutionsPlans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be used from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements.
