Job description

Piping Rock is searching for a Mechanical Engineer Intern. Under the direction of the Sr. Plant Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer intern will support a variety of projects and should have a strong familiarity in mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop AutoCAD files from parts, sketches or brief verbal instructions
  • Develop AutoCAD files related to block diagrams for either existing or new facilities
  • AutoCAD drawings for different mechanical parts or systems
  • Be able to Organize and save all the files in a logical way for future reference
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (junior or senior year preferred)
  • Experience in drawing mechanical parts
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative ability interpersonal communication and organization skills
  • Must be able to work part time 2-3 days in office
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
