Job Description: Position Summary, General Optimization of Dielectric and Silicon Etch Recipes Co-op This internship position is based in Rochester, NY and will support process development activities focused on the optimization of dielectric and silicon etch processes used in semiconductor manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and optimization of dielectric and silicon etch recipes for semiconductor device fabrication. Support the execution of process experiments using plasma etch equipment and related characterization tools. Collect, analyze, and interpret process and metrology data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with process engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues and improve manufacturing performance. Monitor key process metrics including etch rate, selectivity, critical dimension control, uniformity, and defectivity. Maintain accurate records of process development activities and experimental results. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, General Optimization of Dielectric and Silicon Etch Recipes Co-op Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline. Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments through coursework, laboratory experience, or research projects. Ability to work in a cleanroom setting and comply with all safety and operational procedures. This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.
