divh2AP Mechanic Apprentice/h2pThe AP Mechanic Apprentice is a certified AP Mechanic whose AP certificate does not meet the currency requirements of FAA 14 CFR Part 65.83. The person in this position will perform the duties of an AP Mechanic; however will do so under the direct supervision of another certified AP Mechanic whose certificate does meet currency requirements, and will be required to undergo a performance evaluation after six months working in this role at a full-time status./ppPrimary responsibilities include:/pulliFamiliar with the policies and procedures contained in company manuals, submits changes as appropriate to eliminate conflicts and/or enhance operational effectiveness/liliPerform all tasks while under the direct supervision of a certified AP Mechanic (whos certificate does meet currency requirements):/liulliComplies with 14 CFR (as applicable), manufacturers specifications, Company policy and procedures as well as other methods accepted by the FAA, when accomplishing maintenance/liliAssists with completion of shift turnover reports in accordance with procedures in this manual/liliParticipates in shift meetings and briefings as required/liliProperly executes maintenance work records/liliMaintains the maintenance work area in a clean and orderly condition/liliAdheres to material handling and control procedures specified in this manual and by the equipment manufacturer(s)/liliInitiates materials requests/li/ulliAdditional duties as assigned/li/ulpQualifications include:/pulliAP certificate required/liliMinimum two years professional aircraft maintenance work experience preferred/liliMust have basic mechanical skills/liliMust own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools/liliMust take instruction and guidance well/liliMust be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and also as an individual/liliMust be able to lift 40 lbs./liliMust be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time/liliMust hold a valid US drivers license/liliMust have a high school diploma or equivalent/liliMust have a flexible schedule and be able to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays/li/ul/div
