Job description

We are seeking Sheet Metal Workers for projects in and around the Virginia area. The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts in residential, commercial or industrial environments.


Duties/Responsibilities:

· Locate and mark position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes, then cut openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings.

Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.

· Install, assemble, repair and clean systems to include Heating, Ventilation and air conditioning ducts, or other sheet metal products.

· Perform layout activities, and material takeoffs as necessary

· Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installation.

· Promote, maintain and adhere to OSHA regulations.


Experience:

· At least 4 years of related experience.

· Experience planning and layout.

· Working experience using blueprints, technical drawings and work orders.


Requirements:

· Have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

·Have tools of the trades.
