Open Until FilledNorth Allegheny School District seeks candidates to fill a Mechanic Assistant position in the Transportation Garage. This position will assist in the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles to ensure they are safe to provide transport of students and staff to and from school buildings and events. The successful candidate will have knowledge of engines, body systems, drive trains, brakes, suspensions, steering, electrical systems, air condition systems and controls. It is hoped the successful candidate will progress through training to advance to the position of certified mechanic.
High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years experience working on heavy equipment and engines.
Must possess State License with CDL Endorsement or obtain the CDL with P and S endorsements within 180 days of hire, training provided if needed.
Individual benefit package available to include, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
