Job Purpose:
- The Meat Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the quality and presentation of meat products, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This role involves assisting customers, managing inventory, and supporting the overall operations of the meat department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with inquiries and purchases, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
- Wrap, label, weigh, and price meat products accurately and efficiently.
- Stock meat cases, ensuring products are rotated and displayed attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control standards.
- Assist with basic meat preparation tasks as trained, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate department equipment safely and correctly, following all safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and maintain a positive work environment.
