Job description

Looking to fill 2 positions - One of Shop Lead/Production Manager and one of Support, with one of these roles being able to drive our box truck one day per week.

2 full days per week minimum requirement, Monday & Tuesday, approximately 7-4 pm

Fridays are 1/2 day with 1 full Friday per monthย 

Additional hours available on Wed, Friday & one Saturday per month.

20-30 hours per week.

Working in a refrigerated environment processing raw meat products (no butchering of carcass or primal cuts), we break down and grind frozen boxed meats.

Will train if no prior experience in the industry, experience with Band Saws, Sanitation, Food Handling, and a good driving record is appreciated.

Applicants must have:

*Understanding of basic math and ability to figure out percentages of formulas as needed. Can count/track inventory.

*Attention to detail and pride in a job well done.

*Ability to lift 40-60lbs to chest height throughout the day. (Please do not apply if you are not capable of this physical requirement)

*Can read, write, speak English, and follow directions.

*Can work in temperatures of 45-50* and be on your feet for an entire shift. Will be in lower temps for short periods for stocking freezer at 0-5* with gloves & jacket.

*Good with communication and can work well with others in a small business community-style workplace.

*Is conscious of keeping a clean and safe working environment, and stays task-focused

*Pride in a job well done, attention to detail, and a good attitude even under stressful situations.

Additional Skills that are desirable for an expanded job position & advancement opportunities:

*Food Handling/Kitchen experience and a firm grasp of cross-contamination and cleaning protocols

*Operates an electric pallet jack in tight spaces without damage to the area.

*Has previous experience in a butcher shop/meat processing. Equipment - Bone Saw (Meat Band Saw), Biro AMFG 52 Mixer Grinder, Handtman VF608, Polly-Clip PDC700

*Clean driving record and experience driving a 16ft refrigerated box truck with a lift gate.

*Warehouse experience picking and packing orders for shipment & deliveries.

*Basic QuickBooks knowledge

*Understanding of Google Office - Sheets, Forms, Sites

*Previous Management experience in commercial food manufacturing facilities.

*Knowledge of keeping logs and dealing with USDA/FDA requirements.

*Team management

We are a local small business working in the valley since 2011. We make and distribute high-quality raw pet food products and dehydrated treats directly to our customers in Arizona, Nevada, and via FedEx. Our team is small and communicates well, tasks are fluid, and job duties will overlap and flow during the process each day. Team members are expected to help each other as necessary and flow together to achieve an end goal of a quality product and a happy customer.
Depending on the shift, it is 2-4 people working together.
