Southern Steer Butcher – Chandler, AZ
Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available
Pay: Up to $20/hour, depending on experience

Southern Steer Butcher is looking for friendly, dependable people to join our team! We are hiring both full-time and part-time Counter Staff / Meat Cutters for our Chandler butcher shop.

This is a customer-focused position first and foremost. You’ll spend much of your time helping customers choose the right products, answering questions, preparing orders, and creating the friendly, knowledgeable experience we want every customer to have when they walk into our shop.

No butcher experience? That’s okay — we’re willing to train the right person. If you already have meat cutting, butcher shop, grocery, restaurant, or food-service experience, that’s a big plus.

What You'll Do

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Help customers select meats, marinades, prepared items, and other products
  • Answer questions and explain product and preparation options
  • Retrieve, weigh, package, and prepare customer orders
  • Operate the register and check out customers
  • Stock, organize, and maintain the retail sales area
  • Keep displays clean, attractive, and ready for customers
  • Prepare and package products for sale
  • Assist with basic meat preparation and cutting as trained
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
  • Pitch in wherever needed to help the shop and team succeed

Experienced butchers and meat cutters are strongly encouraged to apply, but prior butcher experience is NOT required. We are happy to train motivated candidates.

Schedule

We offer flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Friday and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Compensation

Up to $20/hour, depending on experience and skill level.
