Job description

Our executive search firm is conducting a search for a processor of delicious seafood.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the facility including production, warehousing, inventory, logistics, maintenance, and staff leadership

  • The position will have P&L responsibility

  • Manage production activities across multiple shifts and departments to manufacture products that meet established quality, food safety, innovation, sanitation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies

  • Implement processes and act as the process authority in all areas of the plant

  • Monitor/track production yields to determine required adjustments to improve yields and increase efficiencies

  • Troubleshoot supply chain issues


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years working in plant management in a food production operation

  • Must have experience working with proteins (e.g., seafood, meat, poultry)

  • Knowledge of maintenance, QA, production scheduling, sanitation, forklift operation and regulatory agency requirements

  • Understanding HACCP, SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Policies

  • Experience working with ERP systems

  • Experience working with refrigeration

  • Experience working with seafood is preferred, but not required
