Position SummaryJohnson's Meat & Seafood Market Inc. is seeking an experienced Meat Wrapper with 3–5 years of experience in a retail grocery store meat department. The successful candidate will package, label, merchandise, and stock fresh meat products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Wrap, package, weigh, and label fresh meat products.
 • Prepare retail-ready beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and value-added meat products.
 • Stock and merchandise meat cases using FIFO inventory rotation.
 • Inspect products for freshness and quality.
 • Operate wrapping machines, scales, and label printers.
 • Maintain clean and sanitized work areas.
 • Assist customers and support the meat cutting team.
 • Follow HACCP, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company food safety standards.
Required Qualifications• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of meat wrapping experience in a retail grocery store or supermarket meat department (Required).
 • Experience operating commercial wrapping equipment and scales.
 • Knowledge of meat merchandising, labeling, and inventory rotation.
 • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
 • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
 • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in refrigerated environments.
 • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications• ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager Certification.
 • HACCP training or certification.
 • Experience assisting journeyman meat cutters.
