Purpose
The Meat Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the Meat Department to achieve sales, labor, customer service, food safety, inventory, and profitability goals. The Meat Manager leads department associates, maintains product quality and merchandising standards, and ensures compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop Meat Department associates.
  • Schedule associates to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and recognition.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Develop associates for future advancement opportunities.
Customer Service
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered.
  • Assist customers with product selection, special orders, and preparation recommendations.

Department Operations
