POSITION SUMMARY The Meat Department Associate assists with meat preparation, display, and sales while ensuring food safety and excellent customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: ● Prepare, cut, and package meat products as needed ● Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat department ● Stock and rotate meat inventory to ensure freshness ● Assist customers with product selection and questions ● Follow food safety and handling proceduresMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) ● Experience with meat handling preferred but not required ● Knowledge of sanitation and food safety guidelines ● Friendly and customer-focused attitude ● Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidaysPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
