Compensation: $16.50/Hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Experience Standards

Greeting Customers: Initiate eye contact with customers, smile at customers and provide customers with a warm verbal greeting.

Customer Engagement: Offer personal assistance, listen actively to customer needs, confirm understanding, demonstrate knowledge or seek an expert, walk customer to the item, confirm the customerโ€™s satisfaction, offer further assistance and offer friendly parting comment. Employees may not solicit gratuities and at first must decline all gratuities offered. If the customer then insists, an employee may choose to accept the gratuity.

Facility: Maintain neat, clean and safe sales floor and public areas, maintain customer supplies, maintain merchandising and signage, and maintain easy customer access throughout facility.

Safety & Maintenance
  • Maintain all work spaces in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Advise Manager of department repair and maintenance needs.
  • Keep all displays and customer areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure sanitation for product processing and handling according to Department of Agriculture, Organic Handling Standards, and department procedures.
  • Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
Teamwork
  • All employees are encouraged to help out with store-wide tasks as needed.
  • Interact positively and respectfully with coworkers. Attempt to resolve conflicts when they arise, asking for assistance when necessary.
  • Approach your work with enthusiasm and openness to having fun while maintaining a high level of productivity and professionalism.
  • Contribute to the team by encouraging open communication and by setting an example as to how shift responsibilities should be accomplished (i.e. punctuality, thoroughness, organization, positive attitude).
  • Treat all coworkers with respect and lend a hand willingly when needed.
  • Have the ability to give and receive constructive criticism and praise, including written evaluations.
Workplace Participation
  • Keep informed by reading department and store logs, meeting minutes and bulletin boards.
  • Inform manager of any workplace issue or problem that you observe.
  • May participate in employee and Manager Performance Evaluations in your Department.
  • Attend team and staff meetings, workshops, and trainings.
  • Follow store and departmental procedures and guidelines and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by a Manager or Supervisor.
