Create CAD drawings for sales orders. Read customer drawings for estimating.

Function in the Job
Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
Read, create, and interpret CAD documents. Program drawings for sales orders and estimating. Work with plate processing operators to efficiently process material to maximize productivity
Required Skills
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of PDM's Quality Policy and Objectives
  • Knowledge of product line; types, sizes and grades
  • Ability to read/ create and interpret CAD documents
  • Knowledge and understanding of production procedures & scheduling
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAD, PC applications & drafting practices
  • Able to read measuring instruments, calipers, tape measure, square, and protractor
  • Knowledge of the document and date control policy
  • Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment

Skills:
  • Demonstrates understanding of customer requirements and knowledge of tolerances, critical characteristics
  • Demonstrate the use of CAD software and PC applications
  • Demonstrates ability to deploy the use of proper tooling
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
  • Effectively Communicates to the Sales Department any "Changes" that will impact their order
  • Demonstrates good record keeping and data collection
  • Effectively uses published schedules and order planning to manage OTD
