Our MBA Leadership Development Program (LDP) builds on that strength and vision. It is designed to develop top MBA graduates (LDP associates) and MBA students (LDP summer interns) through strategic assignments, high visibility assignments, and partnership with our senior management team. Our Leadership Development Program challenges the best to become extraordinary financial services leaders with impact throughout Western & Southern Financial Group and in our surrounding community.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • LDP associates participate in four to six rotations over the three-year program that provide a strategic perspective of the major business units that comprise Western & Southern Financial Group. Typical assignments include: investments, marketing, financial analysis, due diligence, strategic planning. Each assignment provides you ownership of the most demanding and leading-edge projects in Western & Southern Financial Group.
  • Our LDP program is small and select, and LDP associates receive a generous share of our senior leaders' time and attention. You report directly to the most senior officer responsible for your assigned operation. In addition, a member of senior management is selected as your coach and mentor - your advocate throughout the program - to ensure your experiences effectively prepare you for a leadership role.
  • After successfully completing three years of rotational assignments throughout Western & Southern Financial Group's family of companies, LDP associates are promoted to officer-level positions. Placement is based on your career interests and passions as well as organizational needs. With solid academic MBA backgrounds and three years of strategic exposure to our businesses, LDP alumni are well prepared for the next level of leadership within our organization.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In a business-related field preferably accounting, finance, operations, economics, management/operations, marketing, or business analytics. - Required

  • A concentration in finance or management - Required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills - Required

Work Setting/Position Demands:

  • Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
  • Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.
