Job Summary:

The Anheuser-Busch School of Business at Harris-Stowe State University seeks qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Master of Business Administration program. The MBA program serves working professionals and is delivered in 8-week terms in a hybrid format. Adjunct Faculty provide high-quality instruction, support scholar success, and uphold program and university standards. Faculty work collaboratively with School of Business leadership and colleagues to ensure that the mission of the institution is fulfilled.

Essential Functions:

In addition, this person is responsible for, but not limited to:

โ€ข Teaching graduate-level MBA courses in areas aligned with expertise
โ€ข Delivering instruction in hybrid format with online asynchronous content and one monthly synchronous session
โ€ข Preparing course materials, syllabi, assignments, and assessments
โ€ข Providing timely feedback, grades, and academic support to scholars
โ€ข Maintaining an engaging, inclusive classroom environment for diverse adult learners
โ€ข Integrating real-world case studies, industry insights, and applied learning
โ€ข Communicating with the Dean, MBA Coordinator, and School of Business staff as needed
โ€ข Upholding program learning outcomes and accreditation expectations
โ€ข Using Canvas LMS and university technologies to manage the course
โ€ข Responding to scholar inquiries and concerns within appropriate timelines

Minimum Education and Experience:

โ€ข Doctorate (PhD, DBA, or related terminal degree) in business or a closely aligned discipline required

โ€ข Industry experience in a related field is preferred
โ€ข Experience teaching adult and graduate learners is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility:

โ€ข Support the academic rigor and instructional quality of the MBA program
โ€ข Adhere to established curriculum, assessment practices, and course schedules
โ€ข Maintain records, gradebooks, and course documentation in accordance with university policy
โ€ข Contribute to curriculum alignment and continuous improvement of the program

Physical Requirements:

The ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for lengthy periods. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Within an office or hybrid instructional setting.
