Will drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance body weld line equipment efficiency and reliability and overall maintenance performance across the Body Weld production area. This role works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to develop team members and implement maintenance strategies.


As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Lead the development of a long-term maintenance reliability and efficiency strategy for Body Weld
  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Create improvement strategies relative to KPI achievement and in translating those strategies into concrete action plans by use of Floor Management Systems
  • Ensure the annual policy management plan and supporting business plan is completed
  • Develop preventative maintenance program utilizing technology and reliability centered maintenance strategies to reduce equipment failures
  • Own strategic planning and execution of body weld equipment projects, including capital and process improvements
  • Support Hoshin planning with technical roadmap development tied to plant objectives. Develop team members' problem-solving capabilities.
  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Lead reliability Kaizen and improvement activity including major breakdown root cause analysis, and countermeasure action plan implementation
  • Manage Maintenance standardization activity including master maintenance plans, contingency plans, and best practices
  • Lead evaluation and maintenance cost reduction activities
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve to eliminate chronic line stop issues
  • Cultivate a workforce that is representative of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

What You Bring

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership position in a high-volume manufacturing environment (Body Weld preferred) or internal demonstrated experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, welding, and robotic systems
  • Experience with budget planning and/or budget management
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

What Will Set You Apart

  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership position in a high-volume manufacturing environment (Body Weld preferred) or internal demonstrated experience.
  • Knowledge of body weld operations, including PLC's (Omron, Mitsubishi), robotics (Kawasaki, Nachi, Yaskawa), and welding equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Body Weld production processes.

Hiring Range Salary:

$120,031.64 - $153,650.65
