  • What will I do in this position if hired? This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Office within FEMA. In this Management Analyst position, typical assignments include: Leading the coordination, development and reporting of strategic planning and program performance goals to support the execution of Claims Office programmatic responsibilities; Developing recommendations and briefing leadership on activities of internal and external organizations related to the Claims Office programs and functions; Supporting project management and the development of tools, documents, feedback, and platforms that will monitor and contribute to program management strategies; Convening and facilitating working groups and other focused engagements with stakeholders to collect feedback and synthesize information for Claims Office and Directorate leadership awareness and decision-making; Preparing written summaries and data visualization reports for Claims Office and Directorate leadership identifying trends and patterns derived from diverse data sets; Analyzing and interpreting organizational policies, regulations or guidance, to inform recommended changes, or the development of new and improved processes, procedures or policies. This position will be hired into a temporary 2 years, excepted service appointment. Appointments may be renewed based on workload, funding, and supervisory approval.
