PMO Project Manager (Temporary)
Position Summary
LHH is seeking an experienced PMO Project Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. This role will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by leading and coordinating strategic initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong project management expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of assigned projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Partner with business leaders, functional teams, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, steering committee presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely completion of project milestones.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards that communicate project health, progress, risks, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance processes, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
  • Manage project change requests and assess impacts on scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Support portfolio reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to facilitate successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within a PMO environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to executive leadership.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation, technology implementation, operational improvement, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, or government.
  • Familiarity with PMO governance, portfolio management, and project financial tracking.
