We are seeking an experienced Maximo Admin Region Lead with strong hands-on expertise in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.0 administration, migration, implementation, and production support.

The ideal candidate will have successfully launched or implemented Maximo 9.0, understand the appropriate implementation runbook and industry best practices, and have extensive experience administering Maximo/MAS 9.0 environments.

This role will provide regional leadership and technical guidance across North America, supporting operations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The candidate will work closely with regional Maximo teams, IT, business stakeholders, IBM, cloud service providers, and external vendors.

The candidate must also be comfortable training and guiding local Denso, Mexico Sub Region (MSR), and North Sub Region (NSR) resources on Maximo administration.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of relevant Maximo experience.
• Proven experience implementing or launching Maximo 9.0 / MAS 9.0.
• Strong understanding of Maximo implementation runbooks and industry best practices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Maximo/MAS 9.0 administration.
• Strong knowledge of Maximo configuration, workflows, integrations, security, data, and system management.
• Ability to train, coach, and guide regional resources on Maximo administrative functions.
• Ability to support North American locations across:
• United States
• Mexico
• Canada
• Comfortable working across Eastern, Central, and Mountain time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Migration Planning

Asset & Data Inventory

• Identify and document configurations, customizations, workflows, integrations, and data objects requiring migration.
• Assess existing Maximo environments and identify migration dependencies.
• Ensure critical business and technical data is properly identified and documented.

System Validation

• Validate source Maximo environments against IBM and business requirements.
• Confirm supported software versions and database readiness.
• Ensure regional compliance and technical prerequisites are addressed.

Environment Preparation

• Coordinate contract, licensing, infrastructure, and connectivity requirements across regions.
• Ensure required environments and technical resources are provisioned prior to migration.

Migration Planning

• Develop detailed migration plans including:
• Migration steps
• Timelines
• Dependencies
• Resource allocation
• Cutover activities
• Communicate migration plans and expectations to regional stakeholders.

Security & Compliance

• Review security and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and address security, access, compliance, and data governance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with:
• IT Teams
• Regional Maximo Leads
• IBM
• Cloud Service Providers
• Business Stakeholders
• Regional Operations Teams

2. Migration

Data Export & Validation

• Supervise database exports and data migration activities.
• Oversee creation and validation of customization archives.
• Ensure migration files and required artifacts are accessible and complete.
• Validate migrated data for accuracy and integrity.

MAS Deployment & Automation

• Deploy Maximo Application Suite (MAS) using operators, custom resources, and automated scripts.
• Support deployment and configuration across individual regions.
• Ensure environments are configured according to established standards and best practices.

Migration Oversight

• Monitor migration progress across regions.
• Identify and resolve migration issues.
• Track changes, dependencies, risks, and exceptions.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Testing & Certification

• Lead and coordinate:
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Workflow Testing
• Reporting Testing
• Integration Testing
• System Validation
• Ensure migrated environments meet business and technical requirements before go-live.

Documentation & Cutover

• Document migration procedures, configurations, and lessons learned.
• Support regional teams during cutover.
• Train users and administrators on the new MAS environment.
• Provide hands-on support during migration and transition activities.

Security & Licensing

• Validate security configurations following migration.
• Confirm Disaster Recovery (DR) settings.
• Validate licensing and access configurations.

3. Go-Live & Stabilization

System Health & Maintenance

• Monitor Maximo logs, crontasks, and integration queues for failures or delays.
• Monitor integration points and reprocess failed transactions when required.
• Perform database health checks including:
• Index refresh
• Query monitoring
• Database performance analysis
• Ensure Job Plans, Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Work Orders operate efficiently.

User & Access Management

• Add, modify, and manage user accounts and roles as staffing requirements change.
• Audit user group memberships and ensure appropriate segregation of duties.
• Review login exceptions and troubleshoot region-specific authentication issues.
• Maintain appropriate access controls and security standards.

Data & Configuration Validation

• Run data integrity reports across:
• Work Orders
• Assets
• Inventory
• Identify and resolve duplicate, orphaned, or inconsistent records.
• Validate weekly Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Job Plan schedules against actual resource capacity.
• Utilize:
• Graphical Work Week
• Graphical Scheduling Dashboard
• Adjust allocations and schedules when resource load balancing identifies upcoming conflicts.

Reporting & Performance Management

• Review weekly KPIs covering:
• Work Order Throughput
• SLA Compliance
• Backlog Aging
• Maintenance Performance
• Generate scheduled reports and dashboards for reliability and maintenance teams.
• Prepare and distribute weekly performance summaries to the Regional Operations Manager and Corporate EAM Lead.

4. Post-Migration Support

• Resolve post-migration issues and ensure ongoing system stability.
• Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and overall health.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Provide ongoing end-user support and training.
• Troubleshoot user issues and help teams maximize Maximo capabilities.
• Analyze system usage and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize workflows and enhance the overall user experience.

• Collaborate with NAITS/NAITDC teams, business units, and external vendors to align Maximo capabilities with organizational objectives.

Training & Regional Leadership

• Train and guide identified resources across:
• Local Denso Teams
• Mexico Sub Region (MSR)

• Establish consistent Maximo administration practices across North American locations.
• Provide guidance on Maximo configuration, troubleshooting, security, workflows, and operational support.
• Mentor regional administrators and promote standardized Maximo best practices.
• Serve as a regional point of contact for Maximo administration and operational issues.
