We are seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Business Analyst to support day-to-day Maximo operations (75%) while also driving enhancement projects and modernization initiatives (25%). This role is critical to improving how field operations capture, manage, and act on asset and maintenance data. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between field/operations teams and technical delivery teams, ensuring that Maximo is both a reliable operational tool and a platform for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support (75%)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Maximo user support and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues, data discrepancies, and user access problems.
  • Maintain configurations, lookup tables, and workflow updates in Maximo as needed.
  • Provide ongoing user training and documentation for field users and supervisors.
  • Partner with IT support and vendor resources to address system performance or technical escalations.

Enhancements & Projects (25%)
  • Analyze current Maximo-based workflows and data collection forms, particularly in modules such as Work Orders, PM/CM, and Asset Management.
  • Gather and document requirements directly from field personnel, maintenance teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into functional documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and process maps.
  • Collaborate with developers and integration teams to ensure enhancements are well-aligned with business needs.
  • Participate in solution testing, user validation, and change management for project rollouts.
  • Support the migration of legacy, paper-based, or manual workflows to modern, mobile-enabled solutions integrated with Maximo.

Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst working with IBM Maximo.
  • Strong understanding of Maximo modules: Work Orders, PM/CM, Asset Management, Inventory, and Locations.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead conversations with field users, supervisors, and technical teams.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and deployment of system changes.
  • Familiarity with oil & gas, utilities, or asset-intensive industries is preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., BIRT, Power BI).
  • Exposure to Maximo integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA).
  • Knowledge of basic Maximo administration or configuration a bonus.
