Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Maximo Systems Administrator to serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for their IBM Maximo environment. This role is responsible for the administration, development, customization, integration, automation, and ongoing support of the Maximo platform. The ideal candidate will be highly hands-on with Maximo architecture, SQL development, scripting, application configuration, and enterprise integrations. This is a technical engineering role focused on designing and implementing solutions, enhancing system capabilities, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of Maximo across the organization. Travel up to 15% to company locations may be required. this person will sit onsite in Downtown Houston, TX 4 days a week (remote Fridays)

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the technical SME and primary administrator for the IBM Maximo platform.

•Develop, configure, and support custom Maximo applications, workflows, Start Centers, and automation scripts.

•Build and maintain integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and related technologies.

•Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and scripts to support application functionality and reporting.

•Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, automation, and database issues.

•Implement system enhancements, customizations, and performance improvements.

•Develop and maintain BIRT reports, dashboards, and data extracts.

•Lead Maximo upgrades, modernization efforts, and technical improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS

•6+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo administration, support, and development experience.

•Strong experience developing and maintaining Maximo Automation Scripts (Jython/Python) for workflow automation, business rule enforcement, and system integrations.

•Experience developing custom Maximo applications, workflows, configurations, and Start Centers.

•Advanced SQL experience, including query development, stored procedures, triggers, database scripting, and performance tuning.

•Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), APIs, integrations, and data migration.

•Experience with Java, Jython, Python, JavaScript, or similar development languages.

•Proven experience supporting and customizing enterprise-level applications in complex environments.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

•Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.0.

•Experience supporting transportation, logistics, fleet, or asset management operations.

•ITIL Foundation certification.

•Experience with Microsoft technologies, Azure, Power Platform, or related certifications.

•Experience leading technical implementations, upgrades, and platform modernization effort
