Job description

Position Overview

Max Transport is seeking a dependable and motivated Fleet Maintenance Technician to help maintain our growing fleet of delivery vehicles. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow with a rapidly expanding transportation company while gaining hands-on experience with commercial fleet operations.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles

Complete vehicle inspections and identify maintenance concerns

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues

Replace brakes, batteries, tires, belts, hoses, and suspension components

Conduct oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements

Troubleshoot check engine lights and vehicle warning systems

Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records

Assist with Fleet Condition Assessments (FCA) and compliance inspections

Coordinate with operations leadership regarding vehicle downtime and repair priorities

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all company safety procedures and standards

Qualifications

Required

Valid drivers license

Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills

Ability to use hand and power tools

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Previous fleet maintenance experience

Experience with Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter, or commercial vehicles

ASE certifications (preferred but not required)

Electrical diagnostic experience

Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
