GENERALSTATEMENTOFTHEFUNCTION

AllHindsCommunityCollegeemployeesmust committotheCaringCampusapproach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioralobjectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students.

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAND/OREXPERIENCE

Candidates must hold a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the field ofMathematics from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Candidates mustsubmittranscripts(unofficial) with resume and/or CV, cover letter, and at least 2 letters of recommendation to the application process

ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES,includethefollowing. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintainknowledgeofdiversity-relatedissues,legislation,andbestpractices.

The instructor will implement the specific aims of the College and Department by
1. Participating in developing andimplementing ofcampus and Department policies, procedures, andobjectives.
2. Participating indeveloping, andimplementing annual goals for the department.
3.Maintainingcurrent credentials as required in respectivefield.
4. Teaching the number of class sections assigned according to Board policies.
5. Using teaching techniques that include the effectiveutilizationof resources that motivate students to achieve their potential.
6. Providing necessary information about and for students. This information would include syllabi, attendance/grade reports, and class exams/ assignments.
7. Setting aside sufficient time for student conferences, guidance, and tutorialassistance. (Minimum of 6 hours per weekrequired.)
8. Working a minimum of 35 hours each week on campus during the fall and spring semesters andverifymonthly the hours worked. (Less than full-time contractual faculty work a proportional workweek.)
9. Attending general faculty, division, and departmental meetings.
10. Participating in student/teacher andfaculty/administratorevaluations and performance review conferences.
11. Developing personal and professional improvement plans in those areasdeemednecessaryas a result ofevaluations.
12. Participating in staff development activities, professional associations, presentations, publications, applied educational research, consulting, evaluations, and similar activities which enhance the individual and the educationprofessionbut which do not interfere with teaching duties.
13. Serving on committees as appointed.
14. Participating in formulation, execution, and evaluations of departmental goals andobjectives.
15. Participating in the selection oftextbookand library materials.
16. Following the required institutional process for recording student attendance andidentifying'no-shows"in a timely manner.
17. Participating in the establishment, assessment, and review of General Education Learning
