Job description

Mathnasium of Temple City is currently hiring Math Instructors/Tutors!
Are you exceptional at math and love teaching kids? Then, we are looking for you! As a math instructor, you will work with children K-12 in a fun group setting at our center. We offer part-time jobs with flexible scheduling and opportunities to earn bonuses based on performance indicators. You will be paid during the training to be our certified instructor. This opportunity offers the right candidate an opportunity to help the community by working directly with the students, a rich experience in developing your professional skills, and a great experience to enhance your resume profiles.
Required Qualifications:
  • Exceptional math skills through Algebra I
  • Outstanding communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent teamwork with strong leadership characteristics
  • Energetic, fun, and confident personality
  • Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
  • Must pass a Math employment test that covers elementary to Algebra 1 math skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Well-versed to teach upper-level high school math courses (i.e: calculus)
  • Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students

Salary
  • Competitive salary + bonuses based on performance
  • This is a part-time position with advancement opportunities

Work Schedule:
  • Flexible. You can work on any days and hours listed below (at least 12-15 hours commitment per week):
    • M-F (3-7 PM except Wed at 2-7 PM) and Sat (9 AM- 1 PM)

Instruction session occurs in our safe commercial center. No in-home instruction session.
