General Summary:ย Support campus mathematics through instruction, curriculum, and student interventions.ย The position includes the duties and responsibilities below and other functions as assigned by theย Executive Director of Academicsย or the Superintendent's designee.

ย  ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesย (Other duties may be assigned):ย 

ย 
  • Assistsย and work withย districtย personnelย in the coordination of theย mathematicsย ย curriculum for gradesย 6-12.ย 

  • Work with principals on math needsย within their building.ย 
  • Provide demonstration lessons upon request.ย 

  • Suggest and arrangeย mathย programs to enhance curriculum.ย 

ย 
  • Assistย withย the development of benchmark, mid-term,ย and final examinations forย ย gradesย 6-12.ย 

  • Examine testing results andย findย additionalย strategies to target weak areas ofย ย instruction and students.ย 
  • Develop and make available supplementary materials to enhanceย mathย curriculum.ย 

  • Supervise the update and revision ofย mathย units and teacher guides.ย 

  • Assistย andย trainย in the development of school site-based math Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).ย 

ย 
  • Conduct teacher observations at the request of principals orย ifย placed as an evaluatorย inย SCLead.ย 

ย 
  • Provide training for new teachers inย the useย ofย mathย materials and grade levelย math curriculum.ย 

ย 
  • Keep abreast of current literature onย mathย programsย andย stateย mandates.ย 

ย 
  • Assistsย with state alignment with current textbook for teacher use.ย 

ย 
  • Develop math pacing and curriculum guides.ย 

ย 
  • Push ins and pull outs for student interventions, coaching cycles, and modeling.ย 

ย 
  • Assistsย and coordinatesย district-level master planning, design, implementation,ย ย evaluation, and integration of math, as needed.ย 

  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.ย ย

Education and Experience:ย ย 

ย 

ย Bachelor's degree in education, Mathematics, orย relatedย field isย required;ย master'sย degree preferred.ย ย 
Minimum of three years of teaching experience in mathematics.ย ย 
Experience in instructional coaching or leadership roles preferred.ย
