Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III Labor & Delivery position in Carmel, Indiana, working night shifts in a high-acuity, collaborative obstetric care environment.

Details
  • Labor and Delivery unit within a 124-bed suburban hospital facility
  • Unit includes 8 L&D beds, 2 ORs, 3 triage beds, 4 high-risk antepartum beds, 25 mother-baby beds, and a 16-bed Level III NICU
  • High-acuity obstetric patient population with approximately 250 deliveries per month
  • Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required per unit need
  • AWHONN staffing guidelines followed to ensure safe, evidence-based patient ratios
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active IN or Compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
  • ACLS certification required (AHA-issued)
  • NRP and NRP Advanced certifications required (AHA/AAP-issued)
  • Fetal monitoring certification required — AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent program within the past 2 years
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
  • Two professional references required
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
