JOB TITLE: Material Handler


DEPARTMENT: Materials


REPORTS TO: Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor 


POSITION SUMMARY: The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, organization and flow of materials in and out of the warehouse to maintain schedules and quality of products. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Accurately receive material delivered, including;

a. Unload of LTL, Truckload and UPS/FedEx shipments utilizing forklift, pallet jack, or manually.

b. Verifying delivery address, pallet or box count and inspecting for obvious damage before signing Bill of Lading

c. Verifying physical count matches pack slip shipped count.

d. Verifying receipt of certifications with product

e. Accurate entry of receipt information into AMTEC inventory system

f. Distribution of paperwork and materials to the correct area

2. Accurately issue material from the warehouse to Production utilizing requisitions, manual spreadsheets and a computerized inventory system, verifying part numbers, lot numbers and quantities.

3. Assist in shipment of materials as directed by Supervisor.

4. Maintain reports and forms required for tracking of physical inventory and product lot formation.

5. Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in yearly physical inventory in the warehouse.

6. Execution of transportation for both components and finished goods.

7. Performs other related duties as required.

8. Must be able to be an approved BATFE employee possessor


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


POSITION TYPE:

This is a Salary non-exempt full-time position. 


TRAVEL:

Travel (less than 10% of work time).


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS/Diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years previous Warehouse/Inventory Control experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required
  • Previous Fork Lift experience required, certification a plus (Rider and Stand Up Lifts)
  • Position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, good math skills, computer experience (Microsoft office), and ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Tools used: forklift, computer, pneumatic nail gun, banding equipment, counting scales
