Waste Services

VLS Waste Services provides customized waste processing solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, including landfill diversion and sustainability programs, solidification of liquid waste, recycling, wastewater treatment, and waste sequestration.

Railcar Services

VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance.

Marine Services

VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products.

This position is responsible for overseeing the inbound material receiving and will be responsible for daily administrative functions and modified scheduling efforts. This position will work with the Approvals, Scheduling and Operations teams to ensure that all Approval Requirements, standard operating procedures, Regulatory Requirements, special safety needs and facility documentation requirements are followed for the receipt of material into the facilities in Milwaukee (West Allis)

1. Monitor daily Inbound Schedule and ensure each driver arrives in their appropriate time slots or if delayed/cancelled, information provided to Scheduling and Operations.
2. Ensure each driver produces the proper paperwork to allow the material they are hauling to be received by the facility.
3. Utilize computerized scales to record the weights of incoming and outgoing loads.
4. Accurately match shipments to their associated manifest/bill of lading and record receiving data in computer system.
5. Report and record discrepancies as required.
6. Analyze and prepare documents needed for waste streams and drivers.
7. Ensure appropriate disposal outlets are accurately assigned to the different type of waste streams.
8. Assist with load inspection paperwork and help identify treatable vs. non treatable waste streams
9. Initiate work orders and proper QA/QC paperwork
10. Effectively interact with truck drivers, operations, and office staff.
11. Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound materials.
12. Assist with proper storage of materials and inventory.
13. Additional Responsibilities as assigned
15. Enter the incoming loads into Digital Waste, Acumatica, & the daily SharePoint log sheet
16. Communicate w/ the Client Services Team that the load has received.
17. Sign off on all manifests after the waste has been accepted & received
18. Reconcile & scan all loads into Digital Waste
19. Facilitate communication between the Ops and Client Services on received waste.
20. Facilitate communication between client services, the lab, & the ops team for any "off spec" loads
21. Collect and scan in all DOT required documents (fuel receipts and daily driver sheets)
