Job Description:
Position Title or Job Classification: Materials Manager
Business Unit: Terex Utilities
Location:Waukesha, WI
Work Eligibility:Must be eligible to work in U.S.A.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Materials Manager who has extensive experience in a manufacturing setting to be responsible for managing the auditing of bills of lading for materials received and inspections of materials for good condition in cooperation with the Quality Manager and Quality Inspectors. Once received, the Materials Manager manages Inventory Control to ensure the material is added to inventory, secured, and distributed accordingly, ensuring safe stocks and cycle counts are done accurately.
The Materials Manager is also responsible for shipping finished goods, returns and other materials to customers, suppliers and others as required. The Manager will work with internal and external shipping and distribution resources to achieve goals.
Duties include:
  • Provides leadership and direction to their direct reports who are responsible for all inbound and outbound equipment/components/material.

  • Responsible for leading the inventory control management processes and directs activities of inventory control employees.

  • Leads annual physical inventory.

  • Correctly interpret and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Manages inventory control, conducts/leads cycle counting and inventory control processes and audits.

  • Accurately document all receivables from their multiple sources (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Pine Drivers, Customer Drop Off and other sources).

  • Assist the Quality Department with inspections of all equipment/components/material upon arrival.

  • Generate receipt of goods reports with three (3) check off/sign off prior to submittal to accounting.

  • Promptly communicates all discrepancies (missing items, damages, unexpected returns and any others that come up) with operations management and scheduling.

  • Maintains a clean and efficient work area at all times.

  • Reviews, generates and implements processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Measure work performance; compares results to objectives; takes corrective actions.

  • Establish, maintain and promote exceptional customer service.

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to procedures and methods regarding inventory accuracy, operational processes, streamlining and customer service.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

  • Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of effective customer service.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must Have: Strong experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge in ERP with Oracle experience preferred, inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • Strong skills in excel, data mining, and tracking KPIs.

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Microsoft Office Skills required, MS Visio and MS Professional preferred.

  • High School Diploma/GED required with post-secondary education in manufacturing management-supply chain management strongly encouraged.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment

Salary: Salary range for this position is $122 to $135K per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
