Job Description
Position Summary:
The Material Handler plays a key role in the daily operations of the distribution center by accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products. This position ensures that materials flow efficiently through the warehouse and that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to pick lists or system instructions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, location management, and data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Replenish picking locations and ensure stock is organized and easily accessible.
  • Prepare products for shipment by securely wrapping, labeling, and palletizing goods.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of equipment and materials.
  • Keep aisles, docks, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
