Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

A prominent manufacturer in the Indianapolis area is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for manipulating sheets of metal by bending, cutting, or punching holes as required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a sit-down forklift efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving purposes.
  • Utilize basic Microsoft Excel skills for record-keeping and data entry.
  • Handle materials with precision and care.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Experienced in loading and unloading trucks for shipping and receiving.
  • Familiar with material handling techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with overhead crane operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skill in operating machinery such as press brakes, punch presses, and lasers.
  • Familiarity with machining and using tools like calipers.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
