Material Handler Job Description
Reports to: Warehouse Operational Manager
Position Summary:
The Material Handler maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; and assist with inventory monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull product for order fulfillment and shipping preparation.
  • Work with operations team and independently to pick, pack, and ship orders.
  • Ensure shipping orders are correctly labeled and processed for quick and efficient
delivery.
  • Transport products throughout the warehouse via power pallet and/or forklift.
  • Operate forklift and other company machinery as required for shipping requirements.
  • Package, label, and shelve each individual component accurately.
  • Review receipt of materials to ensure received materials accuracy.
  • Make inventory adjustments when necessary.
  • Track parts movement between digital and physical locations.
  • Overstock/Downstock.
  • Assist the operations department to conduct cycle counts and accurately record result.
  • Ensure packaged goods are loaded according to documentation and bills of lading.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • This position requires a High school diploma/GED and 2+ years of shipping and
warehouse distribution experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in job duties or responsibilities.
Additional Required Skills:
  • Understanding of material handling equipment use and procedures
  • Intermediate material handling experience required
  • Specialized material handling experience skills required

Material Handler 3 Advancement (Team Captain / T3 TRainer)
Additional Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Warehouse Operational Manager, the Material Handler 3 will perform all essential duties and responsibilities of Material Handler 1 and 2 as well as possessing the below Qualifications and Required Skills. Additionally, this position could be assigned the added responsibility of T3 Trainer.

  • Advanced knowledge of company operations, procedures, and policies.
  • Assist department management and leads in ensuring continued process flow.
  • Certifications or degree from accredited training continuing education facility including,
but not limited to: universities, colleges, technical colleges, vocational schools, etc.

Additional Education and Experience Qualifications Include:
  • Six years of demonstrated warehouse and material handling experience or the
equivalent of training and experience.
  • Certifications or degree from accredited training continuing education facility including,

  • Demonstrated experience in job duties or responsibilities.

  • Senior level assembly experience required
