Job description

Packaging And Shipping Specialist

Responsible for packaging finished products and preparing them for shipment in a manufacturing environment. Typical duties include:

  • Pull, pack, weigh, and label products according to production or customer orders.
  • Ensure packages are properly sealed and meet quality standards.
  • Inspect products for defects and report any quality issues.
  • Keep products organized, separated, and ready for shipping.
  • Complete shipping, labeling, and production paperwork.
  • Operate material-handling equipment such as:
    • Pallet wrappers
    • Palletizers
    • Dollies
    • Electric pallet jacks
    • Forklifts (if certified)
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety rules, GMPs, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Work overtime when required by production.

The role generally requires:

  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to work overnight (3rd shift) and occasional overtime.
