The Master scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining the master production schedule to ensure efficient utilization of resources, on time delivery of customer orders, and optimal inventory levels. This role acts as the central link between operations, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and customer service to balance demand with capacity and material availability.
This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and is part of the Manufacturing Operations team located in BEC LS, Indianapolis and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in alignment with sales forecasts, customer demand, capacity constraints, and inventory goals.
  • Analyze demand patterns and production constraints to determine feasible, optimized schedules.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and make adjustments as needed to address changes in demand, material delays, or equipment downtime
  • Serve as the primary communication link between production, supply chain, customer service, and leadership regarding scheduling priorities.
  • Provide schedule updates, KPIs, and analyses in daily/weekly meetings
  • Implement process improvements to increase schedule accuracy, reduce lead times, and improve flow
  • Support lean manufacturing and PSI processes

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR master degree with 3+ years of experience OR doctorate degree, experience includes Planning or Supply Chain
  • Understanding of manufacturing and demand planning to drive production planning process
  • Strong organizational and operational process skills.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar tier one ERP system is preferred.
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to perform problem solving to drive results.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPM Certification
  • Proven track record of holding roles that require a high level of accountability and personal ownership.
