Job Details:
  • $25.00 per hour (including shift differential)
  • 3rd Shift
    • Sunday-Thursday: 8:50 PM - 5:00 AM
  • Overtime is required based on business and production needs and is typically planned and posted in advance

Position Summary:
Operate and monitor filler machines to safely and efficiently package products in cups, pouches, bags, or bottles according to quality standards. Load correct packaging materials, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate documentation. Execute product changeovers, sanitation tasks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth production flow. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while meeting throughput goals and complying with company and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for learning and operating 1-3 filler machines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean, set up, operate, and monitor filler equipment to achieve safe and efficient production
  • Load and verify correct packaging materials for each product run
  • Set machine speeds and adjust filler timing, fill volume, and other parameters using HMI control panels to maintain product specifications
  • Monitor weights, seals, caps, and packaging integrity throughout production, including verifying heat seal systems and checking seals on conveyor lines as needed
  • Perform quality checks and collect samples for testing to confirm compliance with standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machine performance issues, perform basic repairs, and escalate to team lead or maintenance when necessary
  • Sort and rework rejected cups to reclaim product when necessary
  • Complete accurate documentation of production processes, quality checks, and shift handoffs
  • Execute product changeovers and sanitation tasks, including disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of equipment; run CIP (Clean in Place) processes following SSOPs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, production leads, and quality assurance regarding production or packaging issues
  • Comply with all safety protocols and proactively identify and report unsafe conditions to maintain a safe working environment
  • Follow GMP standards and actively contribute to food safety, product legality, and quality; promptly report any concerns to management
  • Assist in other areas of production as directed by supervisor

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing or machine operation experience
  • Prior experience in a food production or packaging environment, or prior experience operating automated equipment

Qualifications:
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to legibly complete documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Able to operate company computer systems and basic software applications
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to identify and resolve basic mechanical issues
  • Able to adhere to safety and sanitation standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to follow directions and apply problem-solving skills to routine tasks
  • Able to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequent use of hands, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a manufacturing and laboratory environment with exposure to temperature variations, noise, food products, food allergens, and cleaning chemicals. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
