• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying specific care needs and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide both individual and group counseling to address the emotional and psychological challenges associated with aging, loss, and addictions.
• Educate families and caregivers about effective strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for elderly individuals.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions to support residents and their families as they navigate end-of-life issues, using evidence-based approaches.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case management discussions, contributing to multidisciplinary approaches that ensure holistic care for clients.

Your primary focus will be on serving elderly clients who are facing significant life transitions, including coping with loss, chronic illness, and associated mental health concerns. You will also engage with clients struggling with addiction, providing them the tools and support to navigate their recovery journeys in a compassionate and non-judgmental setting. • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health or counseling setting.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts.
• Current valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with clients.
• A strong capacity for active listening and the ability to empathize while providing effective guidance.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills to manage caseload requirements effectively.

• Experience working with the elderly population, particularly in addressing their unique mental health needs.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.
