Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to understand individual needs, developing personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s goals.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, along with couple and family therapy when appropriate, to address a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, ensuring seamless and coordinated care for clients.
  • Document all client interactions diligently, maintaining accurate and timely progress notes in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, taking part in supervision sessions and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated with best practices in social work.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards, demonstrating sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of your clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The effective Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Positive Progress Counseling Center will work primarily with adults and families experiencing mental health challenges. Our diverse client population encompasses various demographics and cultural backgrounds, providing you the chance to apply culturally competent practices in your therapeutic approaches. You will play an essential role in helping these individuals navigate their emotional landscapes and overcome barriers to mental health care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is necessary.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical social work experience, preferably in a community health setting.
  • Strong knowledge base of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients quickly.
  • Proficient in utilizing telehealth platforms for delivering remote services.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with a diverse client population, including various age groups and cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and the application of evidence-based practices in a clinical setting.
  • Skills in crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations in therapeutic contexts.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
