Job Summary:

Jobs in this career family provide direct professional support for the university's teaching and/or educational service mission. Functions include academic advising/counseling, student personnel administration, recruitment and admissions, registration, financial aid, faculty affairs, library services, curriculum administration, and others involving direct support of the educational mission of an academic unit.

Professionals at the intermediate level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skills, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying, and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.

Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skills, and personal accountability across a wide range of areas, including academic, administrative, managerial, and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying, synthesizing and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed fully independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Administration (55%)

  • Coordinates all aspects of the Program

  • Works closely with Program students and visiting students to complete clinical onboarding for rotations

  • Provides support to Program Leadership as well as didactic and clinical faculty who are involved in the Program

  • Synthesizes information regarding current state of program in order to make informed decisions

Program Data and Recordkeeping (20%)

  • Creates and maintains educational database files with the assistance of various technology platforms

Program Recruitment (15%)

  • Assists in the admissions and recruitment process: leads information sessions, talks with prospective students live or via email, reviews program applications, coordinates interview day needs, etc.

Purchasing & Budget Oversight (10%)

  • Assists with purchasing activities; able to learn and comply with all relevant institutional parameters around purchasing

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite for at least 3 months and is located in Aurora, CO. At the manager's discretion, the individual could be eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Professional Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional experience.

    • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Senior Professional Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional experience.

    • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience working in an academic setting.

  • Experience with data management.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to, become fully competent in computer programs and platforms essential to the Program, including the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CORE ELMS, Examsoft, CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense, and CU-SIS. Software used will continue to change, so adaptability to new electronic programs and tools is essential.

  • Ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements at the program level.

  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
