Position Summary

St. Mary School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Fourth Grade Teacher for the 20262027 school year. The teacher will support and uphold the school's vision, mission, core beliefs, and goals while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

This position requires an understanding of the developmental uniqueness of intermediate learners, particularly within an inner-city setting, and a genuine desire to support both their academic and personal growth.

St. Mary School strives to provide all students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for future success.


Essential Functions

  • Teach core subjects including Reading (Science of Reading), Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Religion, and Social-Emotional Learning using curriculum designated by St. Mary School, the Diocese of Cleveland, and the State of Ohio.
  • Integrate Catholic Christian values into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Foster student growth in citizenship, responsibility, and respect for others.
  • Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support student success.
